From the Kisco Senior Living website:

“We specialize in full-service senior living communities that
offer an enriched lifestyle drawn from thoughtful details. When
Andrew Kohlberg, our founder and president, purchased Kisco’s
first retirement community in 1990, two thoughts emerged as the
driving force: If my parents were to live in a retirement
community, what would I want it to be like? And how would I want
them to be treated?

From these simple concepts, Kisco’s philosophy was shaped. We
created our Principles, Values and Beliefs based on integrity,
dignity and compassion. This belief system balances the needs of
our residents, our employees – whom we regard as associates –
and our business partners.

Today our organization is nationwide, but we maintain a personal
approach. We continuously reevaluate and refine our methods. We
treat people with kindness and respect. We work to create
environments that are inviting to residents, their families, and
friends. We listen.

At Kisco Senior Living, we aren’t aiming to be the biggest. We
are aiming to be the best.”

All About Seniors, Senior living, Striped Rock, LLC, NC based, Press release, February 15, 2009, Charlotte, NC, Senior Solutions, SC Access, Senior Action, Inc., Greenville County’s Council on Aging, stripedrock.org, NC markets, SC markets

 Press Release:

NC-based Striped Rock, LLC is poised for expansion

Charlotte, NC, February 15, 2009 – With two markets firmly established in the Carolinas, Charlotte, NC-based Striped Rock, LLC is poised for expansion with its highly acclaimed and widely received senior resource and referral directory.  Offering more than 60 service categories, each directory is designed to assist older adults and caregivers navigating through the complexities of aging.  Directories are free and are available through local senior centers, medical offices, senior service providers, assisted living communities, non-profit senior health organizations and older adult government agencies.

In June 2005, All About Seniors was launched by Striped Rock, LLC and editor, Missy Johnson to the Upstate, SC market.  Covering nine counties, the directory immediately received the stamp of approval from Senior Solutions, SC Access and Senior Action, Inc., Greenville County’s Council on AgingSoon after, in December 2006, All For Seniors was created and introduced with Anja Workman at the helm as editor to the 12 county Greater Charlotte, NC market.  It was quickly endorsed by the Centralina Area Agency on Aging, The Council on Aging, Charlotte Mecklenburg Senior Centers and Charlotte Chamber.

Both resource and referral directories offer comprehensive information, services and articles within a large sized publication.  Each edition is also available online with capabilities to share information electronically, download and print by going to http://www.stripedrock.org.  All previously published articles relating to healthcare, caregiver support, wellness programs, faith community resources and other helpful information such as Medicare and Medicaid are archived for easy access on the site.

Striped Rock, LLC was created in 2005 by Bill Sweezy and Missy Johnson to offer senior network marketing and media solutions.  Since that time, the company has distributed over half a million resource directory copies.  In addition to contract publishing and media placement, the firm also offers senior industry marketing expertise and event promotion services.

“Regardless of healthcare changes, economy fluctuations and other variables, there remains a huge, unmet need for delivering credible, comprehensive senior resource information,” says Sweezy.   “It is our driving mission to help seniors as well as their caregivers and the senior industry professionals serving them,” adds Johnson.

In addition to publishing and hosting www.scspin.org, a free electronic news site offering information to senior industry providers and consumers, Sweezy and Johnson co-host the weekly All About Seniors TV show and produce the annual Upstate Caregiver Awards event.
